This rear extension in Prestwich added a full new kitchen to the family's home. It was also one of the toughest jobs we've had, and we think it's worth being honest about why. Putting it right, whatever it takes The first lot of brickwork wasn't up to standard. It had a bow and was missing wall ties, so we condemned it straight away, had Building Control in to confirm, and took it down to rebuild it properly. When we found the floor wasn't right either, we corrected that too. The plastering wasn't up to our usual standard, so we sanded and filled it until it was right. The electricians moved sockets and switches to where they needed to be. Our painter went back to fill again and whitewashed the walls free of charge.
